Artist: Olivia Jean or OJ
Artist & Entrepreneur
I would describe myself as a born and raised New Yorker with a taste for the world and a love of nature. I grew up in the Big Apple, a city overflowing with beautiful worldly cultures, being shared in one space. Living so close to so many amazing museums, theatres and overall unique individuals really shaped my curiosity and appreciation for all that we get to experience while living. As well as being an artist I have always been an entrepreneur, it’s in my blood. Starting at the age of 4, I would sell pickles and lemonade (with mom’s supervision) so I could buy Beanie Babies. It’s magical to see now through Global Goddess how I can tie my love of the arts, helping womxn, and the entrepreneurial spirit, together.
Products
These crowns are meant to help call upon the mermaid or regal goddess that is within all of us. Every crown has a different process but usually it starts with wrapping the main headband in a fabric or cord. After I use a glue, (and sometimes wire) to attach the different crystals, shells and other embellishments. They have all been energetically charged.
May their magic bring joy and light to your heart
Sustainability matters today & always. When you purchase products from Global Goddess you are directly supporting Womxn Creators.
About the Artist
Inspiration
I receive inspiration from the world, love, magic, and nature. My mother has also always been a huge inspiration for me and I find her in all parts of my life. She was a great watercolorist, which I highly respect since I have such trouble with it.
An Intersectional Being
I identify as womxn, nonbinary, bisexual/queer, neurodivergent, chronically ill/disabled.
Social Impact
I would like my products to have the wearer stop and truly contemplate their inner and outer beauty. That when they wear my crowns they see the world with just a little bit more love, happiness and magic. Every person, action, and feeling has power and I hope to start a beautiful, fabulous ripple effect in this world (who knows, maybe even a cannonball one day).
